Tampa City Buses, otherwise known as Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HARTLine) travel throughout the Tampa Bay Area.

Hartline Area Transit is a fixed-route system with fares from the standard 1.50 cents per ride to various discount fares. The fixed-route fare structure discounts include: senior citizen, students, transportation disadvantaged, American with Disabilities Act, medicare, and passport fares.

Bus passports may be purchased from any Hartline operations center, or call (813) 254-4278 for more locations and information. HARTride Fare Cards provide a safe, efficient and cost effective to pay your fare. Simply insert your HARTride Card into the units attached to the fareboxes on all HART buses - the machine "reads" the magnetic strip and automatically prints the expiration date on the back.

HARTride Cards are available in the following categories: 1-Day, 3-Day Visitors, 31-Day Unlimited Ride and 20-Ride cards. They can be purchased at all designated HART fare card sales outlets, including the Marion Transit Center, or through our convenient “HARTride Cards-By-Mail” program. Children - age 4 and younger ride free when no taller than the yellow height line and accompanied by a paying adult. If a child is taller than the yellow height line, proper ID is required.

Hartline also runs an In-Town Trolley service that serves the Downtown Tampa/Harbour Island area, and another that serves the Southern Transportation Plaza to Old Hyde Park/South Howard Area.
